Cats fall to Marked Tree

A strong fourth quarter lifted the Marked Tree Indians past the Walnut Ridge Bobcats 55-48 in senior boys basketball Friday night.

The Bobcats trailed by a point at halftime 23-22, but moved into a 38-32 lead after three periods.

Chris Dickson led Walnut Ridge with 15 points, and Richie Ward scored 10.

In junior boys action, Marked Tree edge Walnut Ridge 43-39.

The Bobcats got 26 points from Chris Dickson, but it wasn't enough, as the Bobcats fell to Riverside 88-75 on Dec. 14 at Lake City.

Tyler Dickson scored 13 points for the Cats, and Ward added 11. Range Weeks and Clay Hufstedler each had 10 points. Riverside won a junior boys game 56-23.
