BR girls win two

The Black Rock Lady Zebras staged a fourth-quarter rally to defeat Weiner 49-47 in senior girls basketball Thursday night at Black Rock.

The Lady Zebras led most of the game, but trailed 36-35 after three quarters.

Haley Slusser led Black Rock with 19 points, and Megan Jones had 15. Kaylie Hammock pulled down 12 rebounds.

Ridgefield Christian

The Lady Zebras defeated Ridgefield Christian 52-33 in senior girls action on Dec. 14 at Black Rock.

Black Rock led 13-11 after one quarter, 28-22 at halftime and 36-24 at the end of the third period.

Slusser led the Lady Zebras with 22 points, while Sarah Penn added 13.

Black Rock won a junior girls game 22-17.
