Hoxie girls beat Manila

Three Lady Mustangs scored in double figures, as Hoxie topped conference foe Manila 64-51 in senior girls basketball Thursday night at Hoxie.

Manila held an early advantage, leading 12-7 after one quarter. The Lady Mustangs played a strong second quarter to grab a 27-24 lead at the end of the first half. Hoxie increased its lead to five points, 44-39, after three periods.

Cayley Rosson led Hoxie with 18 points. Krista Coffell had 16 points, and Autumn Nelson added 12.

The Manila junior high girls defeated Hoxie 36-30.

Manila also won a seventh-grade girls contest 18-10.
