BR boys beat Bay

Black Rock hosted Bay in 1A-3 East conference basketball action Friday night.

In the senior boys game, Black Rock received 17 points from both Tadd Fore and Hunter Horton as the Zebras held off a late rally by the Yellowjackets to record a 59-56 victory.

Black Rock led 33-22 at halftime and 46-35 after three quarters.

Joe Paul Carey added 13 points for the Zebras. Tyler Newell scored six points, and Sam Clem had four.

Black Rock improved to 1-0 in conference play and 15-1 overall.

Black Rock's Lady Zebras fell to Bay 54-29.

Haley Slusser led Black Rock with 10 points, and Sarah Penn added five.

In a junior girls game, Erica Bass scored 17 points to lead Black Rock to a 31-22 win.
