School menus ~ Dec. 20-24 CROWNED QUEEN ~ Lindsey Woods, daughter of Mark and Karla Woods of Pocahontas, was crowned homecoming queen at Hoxie High School on Friday evening. Submitted Photo ~ Lori Highfield WRHS Student Council hosts Winter Ball Walnut Ridge High School hosted its annual Winter Ball Saturday night in Van Ellis Cafetorium. "A Walk Through Wonderland" was the theme of the event hosted by the WRHS Student Council and advisor Stacy Rice. At 6:15 p.m., couples began arriving at the ball and walked through a receiving line consisting of the WRHS Student Council president, last year's king and queen, school administrators and school board members. A grand march was held beginning at 7 p.m. Student Council President Rob Rainwater and Caroline Kelley and last year's king and queen, Eric Wilcoxson and Ashley Roacho, led the grand march. Each couple was spotlighted as they entered the stage and walked down the steps to the dance floor. continued...
