S-H boys beat RC

Chase DeJournett scored 24 points to lead the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds to a 76-56 victory over Ridgefield Christian in senior boys basketball Nov. 23 at Jonesboro.

The Greyhounds were in command from the outset, leading 17-9 at the end of the first period, 34-23 at halftime and 57-42 after three quarters.

Also for Sloan-Hendrix, Lucas Conrad had 16 points, and Zach Brown scored 12. Daniel Rowsey and Tyler Gillean each scored 11 points, and Steven Ward added two.

Ridgefield won the junior boys game 39-29.

Senior girls

The Ridgefield Christian senior girls defeated Sloan-Hendrix 53-43.

The Lady Warriors led 10-9 after one quarter, and 22-17 at halftime. The contest was tied 34-34 heading into the final period.
