S-H falls to Mammoth
Staff Writer The Mammoth Spring Bears outscored Sloan-Hendrix 20-6 in the fourth quarter to defeat the Greyhounds 51-38 in senior boys basketball Friday at Imboden. Sloan-Hendrix led 8-6 after one quarter, 17-12 at halftime and 32-31 after three periods. "We couldn't hold on in the fourth quarter," said Greyhounds head coach Ricky Grisham. "The boys battled hard against one of the better teams in the conference, but we needed to hit free throws better to pull off the upset." Tyler Gillean led the Greyhounds with 15 points. Chase DeJournett had seven points, and Zach Brown scored six points. Daniel Rowsey had five points. Lucas Conrad tallied four points, and Steven Ward added a free throw.
