S-H falls to Black RockNathan HibbardStaff Writer The Black Rock Zebras defeated Sloan-Hendrix 70-40 in senior boys basketball Nov. 9 at Imboden. Black Rock led 20-10 after one quarter and then outscored the Greyhounds 30-8 in the second period to surge to a 50-18 halftime advantage. For Black Rock, Tadd Fore had 19 points and six assists. Joe Paul Carey had 14 points, and Tyler Newell added 13. Hunter Horton pulled down nine rebounds for the Zebras. For Sloan-Hendrix, Tyler Gillean led the way with 18 points. Daniel Rowsey scored six points, and Lucas Conrad had five. Zach Brown, Andrew Young, Steven Ward and Austin Clark had two points apiece, and Blake Bennett added a free throw.
