Hounds fall to Viola

The Viola Longhorns defeated Sloan-Hendrix 46-31 in senior boys basketball Thursday night at Imboden.

Viola led just 8-6 at the end of the first quarter, but pulled away for a 23-10 halftime edge, and led 29-20 after three quarters.

Tyler Gillean led Sloan-Hendrix with 14 points. Chase DeJournett scored 10 points. Daniel Rowsey had five points, and Zach Brown added two.

The loss left the Greyhounds at 0-2 in 1A-2 North conference play and 1-5 overall.

Maynard

The Greyhounds fell to Maynard 68-64 on Nov. 2 at Maynard.

DeJournett led the Hounds with 19 points. Rowsey had 17 points, and Gillean added 14.
