Lady Zebras suffer lossesNathan HibbardStaff Writer The Marmaduke Lady Greyhounds defeated Black Rock 66-45 in senior girls basketball Thursday at Marmaduke. Haley Slusser led Black Rock with 23 points. The Marmaduke junior high girls defeated Black Rock 53-15. Marmaduke also won a seventh-grade game 52-13.
Hillcrest defeated Black Rock 45-23 in junior girls basketball on Nov. 1 at Strawberry. Cheyenne Vance led Black Rock with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Erica Bass had four points and five rebounds. Megan Bershires scored two points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Caylia Ervin had two points, and Destyni Caldwell added one. Rachael Weekley and Robin Maxie each had three rebounds.
The junior Lady Zebras lost to Mammoth Spring 27-17 on Oct. 26. Vance had 11 points and nine rebounds. Rebecca Simpson had four points and seven rebounds, and Bershires added two points. Weekley grabbed four rebounds, and Bass had two.
Marmaduke defeated the Lady Zebras 65-40 on Oct. 25 at Black Rock. Slusser led Black Rock with 19 points. Sarah Penn had seven points. Kaylie Hammock finished with six points and 10 rebounds. Christian Ervin had five points and nine rebounds. Megan Jones added three points, and Devin Pickett grabbed six rebounds.
