The Hillcrest senior boys went into overtime to defeat Mammoth Spring 56-53 in their 1A-2 North basketball conference opener Nov. 2 at Mammoth Spring.
The teams were tied 49-49 at the end of regulation before Hillcrest outscored the Bears 7-4 in the extra period.
For Hillcrest, Zach Doyle scored 22 points, while Dylan Wooten added 18.
The Eagles improved to 4-1 overall with the win.
The Hillcrest junior high boys defeated Mammoth Spring 40-24.
Three Hillcrest players scored in double figures as the Lady Screamin' Eagles defeated Mammoth Spring 39-25.
Lindsey Crews led Hillcrest with 15 points, while Mackenzie Nunnally and Samantha Blevins added 10 apiece.
