Lady Greyhounds fall to
Calico Rock, beat WCC

The Sloan-Hendrix Lady Greyhounds traveled to Calico Rock for junior and senior high basketball action on Friday.

In the senior high game, Calico Rock jumped to a big early lead en route to a 59-17 victory. Michala Stacy led Sloan-Hendrix with five points.

Calico Rock won the junior high contest 47-17. Britney Wolfe led the junior Lady Hounds with 11 points.

White County

The Lady Greyhounds fell behind White County Central early before rallying for a 63-61 victory on Oct. 26 at Imboden.

WCC led 19-8 after one quarter and 28-20 at halftime. Sloan-Hendrix began their comeback in the third quarter and trailed only 40-39 after three periods. The Lady Hounds outscored WCC 24-21 in the fourth quarter to take the win.

"The girls did a great job of staying focused and working together to bring home the win," said head coach Scott Nichols. "Kathryn Hall and Shayla Dickson made some keys shots toward the end of the game that really lifted our spirits. Kayla Griffin and Demi Stephens made some clutch free throws that helped seal the win."

Griffin led Sloan-Hendrix with 16 points. Madicyn Huddleston finished with 11 points, and Dickson added nine.
