Lawrence County voters will cast ballots on Tuesday in the General Election, as well as for local municipal offices.
Voters will help decide several state and federal races between those who received their party's nominations, among which are U.S. senator, U.S. congressman, governor and lieutenant governor. Lawrence County voters will also help determine the new state representative for district 73, as well as a handful of local races.
In the Municipal Election, which is non-partisan, mayoral races are slated in College City, Hoxie, Minturn, Portia, Sedgwick and Walnut Ridge, along with many alderman races throughout the county.
Early voting is underway at the Lawrence County Clerk's Office and will continue through Monday at 5 p.m. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. On Election Day, the polls will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
