WR man dies in accident

A Walnut Ridge man was fatally injured on Friday morning when the tractor-trailer he was driving was involved in a one-vehicle accident in Missouri.

Rodney L. Dobbs, 38, was killed when the 2000 Freightliner he was driving left the roadway and overturned on Highway N, three miles south of Senath, at 5:10 a.m.

According to a report from the Missouri State Police, the semi was eastbound and was passing another vehicle when the truck left the roadway on the left side, overcorrected and then overturned and left the roadway on the right side.

Dobbs was pronounced dead at the scene by Dunklin County Coroner Jack Adkins.

Funeral was Tuesday afternoon at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
