WR BPW to host events
The Walnut Ridge Business and Professional Women will host several events in honor of National Business Women's Week, beginning Sunday and continuing through Saturday, Oct. 23.

National Business Women's Week offers communities, companies and organizations an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of working women and companies that have made strides toward improving working women's lives in their communities.
Events to be held include: chili and game night, Christ Community Church, Sunday; kickoff breakfast, Christ Community Church, Monday; wine and cheese night and movie, "Iron Jawed Angels," Tuesday; chapel and lunch, Williams Baptist College, Oct. 20; annual BPW coffee, First United Methodist Church, Oct. 21, 9-11 a.m.; lunch, Pizza Den, Oct. 22; and state president's tea, Williams Baptist College, Oct. 23, honoring Diana Shelton who is also vice president of the local club.
The Walnut Ridge Business and Professional Women meet on the third Tuesday of each month at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in the administrative conference room at 6 p.m.
Dinner is served at every meeting and a guest speaker discusses informative topics of interest to women of all ages. Annual membership dues are $20 a year.
