The third annual Lawrence County Prostate Screening and Health Fair was combined with the sixth annual Hoxie Volunteer Fire Department Open House and Safety Awareness Day on Saturday. WR to receive sewer extension grants

Citizens in the Luther Bridge, Highway 34 and Midway Road areas of Walnut Ridge will soon be able to connect to the city's sewer system. The city has received $1 million in grants to pay for the bulk of the extension, according to Mayor Michelle Rogers.

JPs renew commitment to Intermodal Authority

The Lawrence County Quorum Court approved an ordinance committing the county to another year as a member of the NEA Intermodal Authority at its meeting Monday night.

Commissioners discuss FOIA, leases and land

Those wishing to be notified of regular meetings and special meetings held by the Walnut Ridge Airport Commissioners have been asked to submit their request in writing, including phone numbers and e-mail addresses.

WR BPW to host events for national business week

The Walnut Ridge Business and Professional Women will host several events in honor of National Business Women's Week, beginning Sunday and continuing through Saturday, Oct. 23.
