Beatles sculpture first phase of tourism project

During a Chamber of Commerce quarterly meeting on Thursday, the Lawrence County Tourism Committee unveiled plans for two attractions along Rock and Roll Highway 67, including a sculpture to memorialize the Beatles' September 1964 visit to the Walnut Ridge Airport.

Booth registration underway for Iron Mountain Festival

Plans are continuing for this year's Iron Mountain Festival to be held in downtown Walnut Ridge.

Health Fair, HFD events set for Saturday

Two special events will be combined Saturday for one big day of health screenings, safety tips, food and fun at the Hoxie Service Center and Hoxie Fire Department. Everything is free.
