Election results updatedResults reported in last week's TD included only 21 of 23 boxes in the school election. While the results were correct, the final count was incomplete.The final official totals in the two contested races, both in the Lawrence County School District, were as follows:
Matt Morse - 44 (5.73 %) Pat A. Roby - 419 (54.56%) Lloyd Clark - 305 (39.71 %)
Greg Gill - 404 (52.13 %) Cary G. Massey - 70 (9.03 %) Carl A. "Cap" Phillips - 301 (38.84 %) Incumbents in the race were Pat Roby of Black Rock, who holds the seat for Black Rock, and Carl A. "Cap" Phillips, who held the Walnut Ridge board position for two five-year terms. No runoff was necessary since each candidate with the most votes received over 50 percent of the total votes cast.
