BR campus adds new employees
Seven individuals have joined the faculty and staff at Black Rock School for the 2010-11 school year.
Sandy Wilson of Powhatan has been hired as a library aid at the high school. She earned a bachelor's degree in education for math and science for grades 4-8 from William's Baptist College. She previously substitute taught for Black Rock. Her family consists of her husband, Bobby Wilson; two daughters Courtney, 13, and Allison, 10; and a son Bobby, eight.
Jamie Pattin of Dalton, originally from Pocahontas, is the new art teacher for kindergarten through 12th grade. She earned her bachelor's degree in art education. She previously taught art for the Twin Rivers School District. Her husband is Justin Pattin.
Kasey Haynes of Black Rock, a native of Albuquerque, N.M., was hired to fill a maintenance position. She is a graduate of Black Rock High School and is the daughter of Donna and Mike Haynes. She has three siblings, Khristian, 20, James, 14, and Kaitlyn, eight.
Jacob McIntosh of Smithville, originally from Helena, was also hired for a maintenance position. He earned his plumbing degree from Arkansas State Tech. His family consists of wife, Dewana McIntosh, son, Kirby, 14; and daughters, Madeline, 11, and Addison, eight.
Terri Stevens of Black Rock has been hired as a teacher's aide in elementary. She and her husband, Jim Stevens, have a 10-year-old daughter, Jessica.
Travis Fleming of Black Rock is teaching elementary science and physical education. He earned his health and physical education degree from Williams Baptist College.
Christina Pickett of Smithville has been hired as a teacher's aide at the elementary school. She was awarded her paraprofessional certificate by the state of Arkansas. She was a teacher's aide at Williford for six years before coming to Black Rock. Her husband is Rickey Pickett, and her children are Justin, 19, Devin, 17, Quentin, nine, and Rubin, six.
