"I have lived in this area all my life. I have a wonderful family, my wife, Lisa Marie, and children, Marcus, Anthony, Randy and Alyssa.
"I plan to be a full-time, working mayor. I have knowledge of our streets and water systems.
"We have some of the finest city workers, which I have been privileged to work with in my line of work.
"My experience includes running my business as a general contractor, while serving as a police officer for 22 years. I also own rental property and manage several pieces of property.
"I understand what it takes to manage a town. I am committed to serving the fine people of Hoxie.
"I believe we need some changes and together we can make those changes as citizens of Hoxie.
"I believe we need to implement a four-year plan to improve our drainage and city streets.
"I believe all citizens are equal and deserve fair treatment. I make a promise to work hard and be fair. I would appreciate your support and vote for mayor."
Coggins will host a free barbecue lunch at the Hoxie Community Center Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Everyone is invited.
