LawCo. native Ben
Owens has major impact

We extend our congratulations to Ben E. Owens, a Lawrence County native, who retired Friday as administrator of St. Bernards after 38 years of service to the medical center. "Ben attended grade school in Alicia and high school in Walnut Ridge, where he graduated in 1951," according to a 68-page supplement and tribute in Sunday's Jonesboro Sun. His parents were Willis and Ruby Owens of Alicia, and he met his wife, Dixie, in 1950 at a youth function at the Alicia Methodist Church. Dixie, originally from Blytheville, was visiting there with a friend. continued...
