Machine pitch season concludes

The girls machine-pitch softball league concluded its season on Friday with a pair of games at Stewart Park.

On the final night of action, the Flyers defeated the Shockers 7-6, while the Bombers downed the Sluggers 10-6.

For the Flyers, Olivia Wilbanks had two singles and scored twice. Sarah Riggs had two hits, an RBI and scored a run.

For the Shockers, Alexis Dalton had three hits and two RBIs. Kenzie Worlow had two hits and scored a run.

Abby Griffin and Kimberly Blair had two hits and an RBI apiece for the Bombers. Savannah Longmire made an impressive catch in left field.

For the Sluggers, Shelby Snyder had two hits and an RBI.

Thursday

The Sluggers defeated the Shockers 7-3.

For the Sluggers, Rebekah Bryson had two hits and scored a run, while Brittney Underwood had two hits and scored twice.

Shala Stewart had two doubles for the Shockers.

The Flyers edged the Bombers 9-7.

Jarah Jones had two doubles, a triple and three RBIs for the Flyers. Allison Lyles added a hit.

For the Bombers, Max Hibbs had two hits, and Kimberly Blair had one.

June 7

The Bombers defeated the Shockers 13-5.

For the Bombers, Baylee Davis had two singles, a home run and finished with five RBIs. MacKenzie Orrick and Hannah Walton each had three hits and drove in some runs for the winners.

Kaitlyn Henson had two hits and an RBI for the Shockers.

The Flyers edged the Sluggers 7-6.

For the Flyers, Jamie Wilson had a two-run single in the third inning. Abby Guntharp had an RBI single. Shortstop Laurel Gaither caught a line drive for an out.

Macy McCormic of the Sluggers had a double, a triple and four RBIs.

June 4

The Shockers defeated the Sluggers 4-2.

Maci Smelser had two hits and three RBIs, while Tamara Trinidad and Kailey Blazer each had two hits for the Shockers.

For the Sluggers, Baylee Rash and Katie Kersey had two hits and an RBI apiece.

The Bombers defeated the Flyers 13-1.

For the Bombers, Savannah Longmire had a double and a single, while Whitney Longmire added a single and two RBIs.

Kaylie Littlejohn of the Flyers batted 2-for-2.

June 1

The Shockers defeated the Sluggers 11-3.

Bailey Ellison and Emily Kern contributed hits and each scored a run for the Shockers.

Dakota Girard had a hit and an RBI for the Sluggers.

The Flyers defeated the Bombers 10-5.

For the Flyers, Chloe Bounds had two hits and an RBI, while Kaylie Littlejohn caught a foul ball for an out.

Lily Holsapple had two hits for the Bombers.

Flyers 8-1

Bombers 5-4

Sluggers 3-6

Shockers 2-7
