WR man found deadThe Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, with assistance from the Arkansas State Police, is investigating the death of a Walnut Ridge man who died from a gunshot wound.A 911 call was received Sunday morning at approximately 5:51 stating that the body of Greg Fender, 54, had been found in the bed of his pickup truck. The truck was parked at Fender's home near Highway 231. A gun was also recovered at the scene. Captain Jody Dotson with the LCSD said the body has been sent to the Arkansas Crime Lab for autopsy. A preliminary report is expected within two weeks. Fender was pronounced dead at the scene.
