Hillcrest competes in
1A State Track Meet

Members of the boys and girls senior high track teams at Hillcrest High School traveled to Texarkana to compete in the 1A State Track Meet on May 1.

The boys' team finished in 16th place, while the girls' placed 19th. Individual results included the following:

Boys

Logan Spray was fourth in the discus throw and sixth in the high jump.

Kyle Bristow finished ninth in the preliminaries of the 110-meter hurdles, while Ethan Holder was ninth in the 300-meter hurdles prelims. Hunter Durham finished 10th in the 400-meter dash.

In the 4x100-meter relay, the team of Durham, Spray, Hunter Nunnally and Bristow placed sixth.

Girls

Elizabeth Rush placed sixth in the high jump, and 12th in the 1,600-meter run.

In the 4 x 800-meter relay, the team of Samantha Blevins, Rush, Kaylee Hammock and Katelyn Hammock finished seventh.

In the 4 x 400-meter relay, the team of Morgan Penn, Katelyn Hammock, Kaylee Hammock and Rush placed eighth.
