EARLY VOTING ~ Early Election Worker Janet Latham (right) assists early voters Weldon and Elizabeth Holder of Walnut Ridge. Early voting in the Preferential Primary Election began Monday and will be held until May 17 at 5 p.m. The County Clerk's Office has extended hours during early voting from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

Lawrence Health Services had a good month financially in March, according to reports made at the meeting of the Board of Governors for Lawrence Hall Nursing Center and Lawrence Memorial Hospital on April 26.

The Lawrence Memorial Health Foundation is continuing its capital campaign in celebration of the hospital's 50th anniversary. Lila Floyd, co-coordinator of the campaign said the response has been overwhelming.
