WRHS announces honor grads
Walnut Ridge High School Principal Charles Lee has announced the honor graduates for the 2009-10 school year.
Luke Holloway is this year's valedictorian.
He is the son of Ron and Ellen Holloway of Walnut Ridge and plans to attend the University of Arkansas and major in chemical engineering.
Co-salutatorians are John-Scott Kelley and Logan Gaither.
Kelley, who plans to attend the University of Arkansas and eventually become a doctor, is the son of Terry and Sloane Kelley of Walnut Ridge.
Gaither is the son of Rick and Julie Gaither of Walnut Ridge. He plans to attend college, but has not decided on the institution or his major.
Other honor graduates at WRHS include Alivia Hackworth, ShayLee Lawhon, Emily Holder, Lindsey Walters and Josie Wagoner.
Hackworth is the daughter of Jeff and Kelly Rider of Walnut Ridge and Steve Hackworth of Pocahontas. She plans to attend Williams Baptist College and major in biology.
Lawhon, daughter of Gary and Janet Lawhon of Walnut Ridge, plans to attend the University of Central Arkansas. She is undecided on her major.
Holder plans to attend Black River Technical College, transfer to Arkansas State University and achieve a degree to become an ultrasound technician. She is the daughter of Scott and Becky Holder of Walnut Ridge.
Walters is the daughter of Bradly and Kristy Walters of Walnut Ridge. She plans to attend Lyon College and major in international relations with a minor in music.
Wagoner, who plans to attend the University of Central Arkansas, is the daughter of Bobby and Becky Wagoner of Walnut Ridge.
