Lady Cats beat PiggottNathan HibbardStaff Writer The Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats defeated Piggott 15-0 in softball action Thursday at Stewart Park. Alivia Hackworth allowed the Lady Mohawks just two hits, while recording five strikeouts to earn the pitching victory. Hackworth also had three hits and scored two runs for the Lady Cats' offense. Ashton Lawson had a hit and scored three runs. Christin Holsapple had a hit and scored two runs. Josie Wagoner, Amanda Emison, Brittney Dobbs, Tayler Brown and Staci Spargo each had a hit and scored a run. Ashlyn Cothern scored a pair of runs, and Brittney Pinkston scored a run.
Melbourne defeated the Lady Bobcats 7-3 on April 20 at Walnut Ridge. Spargo had three hits, and Wagoner had two for Walnut Ridge. Emison and Cothern each had one hit. Wagoner, Spargo and Emison each scored a run.
