With the primary election quickly approaching, state officials are making the voting process as simple as possible. A new website, provided by the Secretary of State's office, allows registered voters the opportunity to access valuable voter information from the comforts of their own home.

The new website allows voters access to their registration information, including precinct, polling locations and sample ballots.

"The website allows voters to look at their ballots and study them before going to the polls," said Lawrence County Clerk Tina Stowers. Details about upcoming elections, early voting locations and schedules and absentee ballots can all be found on the website.

"Registered voters will also be more informed about the voting process and will become familiar with the ballots," Stowers said. "This will help make their voting process quicker because they will know what to expect."

Voters can access their registration information by submitting their names and birthdates in one simple click.

"It's important that each voter make sure their registration is current so they know exactly where to go to vote," said Stowers.

Smartphone users will also be able to access the information from their cell phones.
