Company considering
locating in LawCo.

The Northeast Arkansas Intermodal Facilities Authority met Thursday at Williams Baptist College with representatives present from each member entity as well as one each from Sen. Blanche Lincoln and Sen. Mark Pryor's offices.

Chairman Wayne Gearhart told the group that a meeting was held with representatives of a company that may locate here, bringing 100 jobs to this area.

Construction on archives
facility should begin soon

Construction on the Northeast Arkansas Regional Archives facility, which will be located on the grounds of the Powhatan Historic State Park, will begin soon according to Arkansas State Parks Director Greg Butts.

Facility to be topic at Chamber meeting

The soon-to-be-built Northeast Arkansas Regional Archives facility at Powhatan will be the topic at the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce's quarterly meeting on April 15 at noon.

Downtown WR considered
for the National Register

Downtown Walnut Ridge was recently nominated to the National Register of Historic Places and will be considered by the State Review Board of the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program on April 7.
