Baseball Mustangs fall to
Piggott, defeat Brookland

The Piggott Mohawks held off a rally by Hoxie to defeat the Mustangs 9-7 in high school baseball Thursday at Piggott.
Piggott led 6-0 after two innings, before the Mustangs scored four times in the third inning to close to within 6-4.
The Mohawks scored three runs in the fourth inning to extend their advantage to 9-4. Hoxie added a run in the fifth inning and two more in the sixth, but stranded three runners in the final two innings.
Cade Crisler had two hits and two RBIs, while Hunter Flippo had three hits for Hoxie. Seth Hart had two hits, and Tyler Clement had a two-run double.
Brookland
The Mustangs defeated the Brookland Bearcats 12-8 on March 16 at Brookland.
Brookland led 8-7 after six innings before the Mustangs scored five runs in the seventh to take the win.
Zach Crisler led the Mustangs' offense, with four hits, including a pair of doubles and a triple. He drove in five runs and scored three times.
Cade Crisler and Flippo each had two hits and two RBIs.
