Hoxie accepts bid on
repairs to sewer pond

The Hoxie City Council accepted the low bid for repair of the Hoxie sewer pond and levy during a special meeting on Monday night.

Bob Boyd, water and sewer superintendent, had advised the council during its regular meeting that repair was needed to fix several washout areas that had appeared since the last time repairs were done 12 years ago.

It was decided to bid out the project to include lining the entire pond with B-stone one foot thick and five feet deep.

The bid, in the amount of $17,490, was from Alvin Crabtree and Son Construction of Bono.
