open season with victory

The Walnut Ridge Bobcats opened the 2010 baseball season with a 5-1 victory over Rector on Monday at Stewart Park.
Walnut Ridge capitalized on four Cougar errors in the first inning to plate all five of their runs.
Curtis Jackson started on the mound and allowed one run on four hits to earn the win. He also recorded seven strikeouts in five innings. Rob Rainwater pitched in relief, allowing one hit in two innings of work.
Offensively, Bennett Dudley finished with two RBIs.
