Light to run for judge
Ronnie "Frog" Light of Minturn has formally announced his candidacy for county judge. Light said he plans to be a working judge for the people of Lawrence County. "I will offer old-fashioned honesty as county judge," he said. Light is owner of Light's Equipment on Highway 63 in Walnut Ridge and Frog Light's Custom Spraying. He is also a farmer. He went to Clover Bend School and attends Alicia Baptist Church. His volunteer work includes serving as auctioneer for the Circle of Friends, National Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited and various church benefits. He is also a supporter of John 3:16 Ministries. He and his wife of 41 years, Kathee Light, have three daughters, Kamela Light Stephenson, Shawnta Light Whited and Kristy Light. Light said he will be out visiting with residents during his campaign. "I look forward to visiting with as many as I can prior to the election," he said.
