12th term as judge
Lawrence County Judge Alex Latham (right) and County Sheriff Dan Ellison discuss county business on Tuesday. Latham announced Tuesday that he will not seek a 12th term as judge. Ellison had previously announced that he will not seek re-election as sheriff.

He said the decision has not been an easy one, but he feels the time is right.
