Hoxie girls drop game

Corning's Lady Bobcats staged a fourth-quarter rally to defeat Hoxie 54-52 in senior girls basketball Saturday night at Hoxie.

Hoxie led 41-36 after three quarters, but were outscored 18-11 in the final period by the Lady Bobcats, who finished the 3A-3 conference season with an unbeaten 16-0 record.

Cayley Rosson led Hoxie with a game-high 21 points.

The Lady Mustangs concluded conference play with a 10-6 record and are now 12-9 overall.

Hoxie won the junior girls game 29-19.
