Lady Bobcats fall
to Midland, Salem

The Midland Lady Mustangs used a strong third quarter to defeat the Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats 64-44 in senior girls basketball on Jan. 26 at Pleasant Plains.
Midland led 30-24 at halftime, but outscored the Lady Cats 19-8 in the third period to take control of the game.
Alivia Hackworth led Walnut Ridge with 18 points.
Salem
The Salem Lady Greyhounds pulled away from the Lady Bobcats in the second half to earn a 66-48 win on Jan. 25 at Salem.
Salem led 33-30 at halftime, before outscoring the Lady Cats 15-4 in the third quarter.
Ashley Baker led Walnut Ridge with 17 points, while Daniel Vaughn and Hackworth each had 11 points.
Junior girls
The Walnut Ridge junior high girls defeated Salem 36-30.
