Black Rock teams
topple Twin Rivers

The Black Rock Zebras defeated conference foe Twin Rivers 89-34 in senior boys basketball Jan. 26 at Black Rock.

Black Rock led 31-9 at the end of the first quarter, 54-15 at halftime and 76-26 after three quarters.

Tadd Fore led the Zebras with 18 points and 10 assists. Khris Foster scored 16 points, while Hunter Horton and James Combs each had 11.

The senior Zebras improved to 11-2 in 1A-3 conference play and 19-5 overall.

Senior girls

The Black Rock senior girls routed Twin Rivers 87-35.

The Lady Zebras were led by Teri Aden with 17 points and 13 rebounds, and Amy Galbreath with 17 points and seven rebounds. Megan Jones finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Hailey Slusser and Ashley Stallings each had 13 points, and Sarah Penn added 10.

Junior girls

The Black Rock junior high girls defeated Twin Rivers 49-31.

Ranie Robinette led Black Rock with 22 points.
