Tourney games postponed
after winter weather
While much of the Lawrence County Basketball Tournament has been played as scheduled, several games did have to be postponed following a winter storm that hit the county. Black Rock School is hosting this year's tournament.
Saturday's games, all of which were between seventh-grade teams, were postponed until tonight and will begin at 4 p.m. The games are Walnut Ridge and Sloan-Hendrix girls, Hillcrest and Walnut Ridge boys and Hillcrest and Hoxie girls.
A junior girls game between Walnut Ridge and Hillcrest also had to be postponed from Monday night. It will be played at the conclusion of the seventh-grade games tonight.
The remainder of the games are expected to be played as scheduled.
