WR, S-H teams play

The Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats defeated Sloan-Hendrix 49-40 in senior girls basketball Friday night at Imboden.

Walnut Ridge led 20-15 at halftime and 29-25 after three quarters.

Ashley Baker led the Lady Cats with 20 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter, and Daniel Vaughn scored 12 points.

Hannah Rowsey led Sloan-Hendrix with 15 points.

With the win, Walnut Ridge improved to 2-4 in 2A-2 conference play and 7-7 overall.

Bennett Dudley scored 27 points as the Walnut Ridge Bobcats outlasted Sloan-Hendrix 61-58 in a senior boys contest.

Walnut Ridge led 27-24 at halftime and 42-39 heading into the final period.

Also for the Bobcats, Chris Dickson had 12 points, and Derek Medlock added 11.

Chase DeJournett led Sloan-Hendrix with 18 points.

Sloan-Hendrix defeated Walnut Ridge 46-28 in a junior girls game.

McElrath and Bland each scored 10 points for Walnut Ridge.
