WR sweeps Cotter

Bennett Dudley's 27 points led the Walnut Ridge Bobcats to a 63-38 win over the Cotter Warriors on Jan. 12 at Walnut Ridge.

Walnut Ridge trailed 11-9 at the end of the first quarter, but outscored the Warriors 24-11 in the second period to take a 33-22 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The third period was evenly contested, with Walnut Ridge carrying a 45-34 lead into the fourth quarter. The Bobcats dominated the final period, outscoring their visitors 18-4 to secure the win.

Ashley Baker scored 29 points to lead the Lady Bobcats to a 66-53 win over the Lady Warriors.

Walnut Ridge led 30-26 at halftime and 48-41 after three quarters.

Also for the Lady Bobcats, Alivia Hackworth finished with 14 points, and Amanda Emison had nine. Daniel Vaughn scored seven points, and Katie Lewis added five.

The Walnut Ridge junior high girls defeated Cotter 51-33.

Anna Bland led the junior Lady Bobcats with 18 points, and Audrey McElrath had 17. Holly Looney and Jodie Reithemeyer had five points apiece.
