Hillcrest boys defeat S-H

The Hillcrest Screamin' Eagles defeated Sloan-Hendrix 52-34 in senior boys basketball on Jan. 12 at Lynn.

Hillcrest led 22-13 at halftime.

Derek Wooten led the Eagles with 14 points, and Logan Spray added 11. Trevor Morgan scored eight points, and Dylan Wooten had six. Tyler Crews finished with five points. Ethan Holder and Tyler Parker each scored three points, and Jacob Clifton added two.

Junior boys

The Hillcrest junior high boys raced to a 22-7 halftime lead and went on to defeat Sloan-Hendrix 42-29.

Colman Evans led the junior Eagles with 20 points, and Hunter Nunnally had 13 points. Clint Durham had five points, and Corey Richey added four.
