WRHS announces royalty

Walnut Ridge High School will compete against the Salem Grayhounds on Jan. 29 to celebrate its basketball homecoming.

Homecoming will be in the Sharum Gymnasium and will begin at 5 p.m. with the junior boys game.

Homecoming royalty will be announced at 6 p.m. followed by the senior boys game at 6:30 p.m. Sweetheart royalty will be announced prior to the girls game at 7:30 p.m.

Senior maids include: Millissa Beaupre, daughter of Natlie Kellogg of Spokane, Wash., and Wayne Beaupre of Walnut Ridge; Staci Spargo, daughter of Margie LeBlanc of Hoxie and Jeff and Beth Spargo of Walnut Ridge; and Ashley Hoffman, daughter of Donald Hoffman of Walnut Ridge and the late Teresa Hoffman.

Other maids include: Allyson Smith, sophmore maid and daughter of Allen and Kim Smith of Walnut Ridge; Amanda Emison, junior maid and daughter of Charles and Sonya Lee of Walnut Ridge and Mike and Debbie Emison of Smithville; and Holly Looney, freshman maid and daughter of David and Karen Looney of Walnut Ridge.

Pages are Holly Berry, daughter of Clint and Jana Berry of Walnut Ridge; and Walker Ward, son of Jason and Natosha Ward of Walnut Ridge.

Senior knights include: Curtis Jackson, son of Mike and Susan Jackson of Walnut Ridge; Heath Kennedy, son of Glenn and Leisa Kennedy of Powhatan; and Anthony Baker, son of Darryl and Pam Baker of Walnut Ridge.

Other knights include: Clay Hufstedler, sophmore knight and son of Dina Hufstedler of Walnut Ridge and Cliff Hufstedler of Warm Springs; Cody Brady, junior knight and son of Pam Jones of Walnut Ridge and Gary Brady of Walnut Ridge; and Payton Poole, freshman knight and son of Jerry and Blair Ballard of Walnut Ridge and Lance and Lisa Poole of Mt. Vernon, Mo.

Pages are Avery Anderson, daughter of Rob and Stephanie Anderson of Walnut Ridge, and Trenton Ditto, son of Brett and Stephanie Ditto of Walnut Ridge.

A pep rally will be held for students in the gym on Jan. 29 at 2 p.m.
