BR sweeps CRA

Black Rock defeated conference foe Crowley's Ridge Academy 71-66 in senior girls basketball on Jan. 5 at Paragould.

Ashley Stallings had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Zebras. Hailey Slusser scored 17 points. Teri Aden finished with 12 points and 26 rebounds. Megan Jones had 12 points, and Sarah Penn added 11.

The Lady Zebras improved to 5-2 in 1A-3 East conference play and 11-7 overall.

The Black Rock Zebras defeated Crowley's Ridge Academy 62-42 in senior boys basketball on Jan. 5 at Paragould.

Tadd Fore led Black Rock with 15 points. Joe Paul Carey and Tyler Newell each scored 12 points, and Tyler Roby had 10.

The Black Rock junior high girls team earned their first win in two years with a 37-35 double-overtime win over CRA.

Raney Robinette scored 14 points for the junior Lady Zebras.
