Eight Hoxie Mustang football players have received All-Conference recognition for their play during the 2009 season.
Named to the 3A-3 All-Conference first team were:
Blake Snow, senior, running back/linebacker. Snow recorded 144 tackles, recovered three fumbles and forced a fumble. On offense, he rushed 43 times for 207 yards and a touchdown. He was also named Honorable Mention AAA All-State.
Jonathan Quesada, senior, wide receiver/defensive back. Quesada had 15 receptions for 360 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, he recorded 68 tackles, recovered two fumbles, made three interceptions and broke-up two passes.
Jacob Wigton, senior, offensive tacke. Wigton was credited with 43 knockdown blocks.
Michael Cullum, senior, center. Cullum was credited with 27 knockdown blocks.
Sebastian Irvin, sophomore, running back/linebacker. Playing in only seven-and-one-half games, Irvin rushed for 805 yards and nine touchdowns on 150 attempts.
On defense, he recorded 29 tackles. On special teams, he returned nine kickoffs for 174 yards.
Three Mustangs were named to the All-Conference second team.
Jeremy Anglin, senior, quarterback, kicker. Anglin completed 36-of-82 pass attempts for 639 yards and five touchdowns. He also rushed for 79 yards and four touchdowns. As the team's kicker, he made 18-of-25 extra point attempts and punted 15 times for 509 yards. On special teams, he had one kickoff return for a touchdown.
Dillon Williamson, senior, running back. Williamson rushed for 609 yards and seven touchdowns on 117 carries.
Tyler Hall, sophomore, wide receiver/defensive back. Hall recorded 87 tackles, caused a fumble and broke-up seven passes.
