BR sweeps Maynard

The Black Rock Zebras defeated Maynard 69-30 in senior boys basketball Dec. 8 at Black Rock.

Joe Paul Carey had 15 points, and Tadd Fore scored 14 for the Zebras. Also for Black Rock, Khris Foster had 12 points, and Tyler Newell added 11.

The Zebras improved to 11-3 overall and 3-1 in 1A-3 East conference play with the win.

Senior girls

The Black Rock Lady Zebras defeated Maynard 74-56 behind Amy Galbreath's 24 points and 23 rebounds.

Teri Aden had 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Ashley Stallings contributed 13 points and 16 rebounds. Meagan Jones had 13 points and six assists.

The Lady Zebras improved to 3-1 in conference play and 4-5 overall.
