Hoxie teams beat CorningNathan Hibbard
Cade Crisler and Zach Crisler each scored 17 points to lead the Hoxie Mustangs to a 64-37 win at Corning in senior boys basketball Friday night.
Hoxie led 13-11 at the end of the first quarter. The Mustangs held the Bobcats to four points in the second period and pulled away to a 33-15 halftime advantage. Hoxie continued to roll in the second half, taking a 60-30 lead after three quarters.
Coy Yasler added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Mustangs. Cade Crisler also recorded seven assists, while Zach Crisler had six assists. Devin Roberts totaled six points and five rebounds for the Mustangs, who improved to 3-1 in 3A-3 conference play and 4-2 overall.
The Hoxie junior high boys defeated Corning 39-35.
Hoxie led 9-4 after one quarter, 21-16 at halftime and 30-27 after three periods. Hoxie outscored Corning 12-5 in the fourth quarter, as Jacob Defries scored 10 of his 15 points in the final period for the junior Mustangs.
Hayden Defries also had 15 points for Hoxie.
