WR teams sweep S-H

Walnut Ridge hosted Sloan-Hendrix in 2A-2 basketball action on Nov. 30.

The Walnut Ridge senior boys pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat the Greyhounds 40-27.

The Bobcats led 14-8 after one quarter, 23-18 at halftime and 27-24 at the end of the third period.

Chris Dickson scored 15 points, and Bennett Dudley added 13 for Walnut Ridge.

Sam Clem led Sloan-Hendrix with 12 points.

Walnut Ridge defeated Sloan-Hendrix 55-40 in a senior high girls contest.

Alivia Hackworth led the Lady Bobcats with 21 points. Daniel Vaughn scored 15 points, and Ashley Baker had eight points.

Hannah Rowsey scored 16 points for the Lady Hounds.

In a junior high boys game, Walnut Ridge defeated Sloan-Hendrix 43-22.
