WR beats Midland

The Walnut Ridge Bobcats earned a 50-45 victory over 2A-2 conference foe Midland in senior boys basketball on Nov. 24 at Walnut Ridge.

Three Bobcats scored in double figures, led by Bennett Dudley with 20 points. Derek Medlock tallied 16 points, and Chris Dickson added 10 for the Cats.

Maynard

The visiting Maynard Tigers edged the Bobcats 63-61 in a back-and-forth contest on Nov. 23.

Walnut Ridge led 19-10 after one quarter, before the Tigers came on the second period to take a 32-29 lead into halftime. The Bobcats outscored Maynard 17-8 to take a 46-40 advantage into the fourth quarter.

Chris Dickson scored 24 points, and Dudley added 19 for the Bobcats.
