LawCo. mass clinic to
offer H1N1 vaccine

The Arkansas Department of Health has announced a second round of statewide mass vaccination clinics to immunize Arkansans against both seasonal and H1N1 influenza.

The Lawrence County vaccination clinic will be held Tuesday at the Main Street Church of Christ Annex in Walnut Ridge from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The clinic will be administering H1N1 vaccine to everyone while supplies last, not just priority groups at risk for serious complications from the H1N1 flu.

According to Randy Lee, director of ADH's Center for Local Public Health, the decision to make the H1N1 vaccine available to everyone was made because "it appears that we will have adequate H1N1 vaccine to offer to everyone and substantial amounts of seasonal vaccine to offer also."

Participants are asked to bring their health insurance such as Medicare, Medicaid, or ARKids First cards to the clinic so the ADH can file with insurance providers. There is no charge to receive the vaccines at the clinic.
