Hillcrest Eagles beat Melbourne

The Hillcrest junior and senior high boys basketball teams traveled to Melbourne Friday.

The Hillcrest senior boys posted a 49-48 win over the Bearkatz.

Logan Spray was the top scorer for the Eagles with 16 points, while Dylan Wooten had 15 points. Derek Wooten and Trevor Morgan each added seven points. Jacob Clifton and Billy Brannon added two points each.

Melbourne won the junior boys contest 49-37.

Hunter Nunnally led Hillcrest with 10 points. Zach Doyle and Colman Evans scored nine points each. Brandon Scott, Clint Durham, Randall Scott, and Brad Nunnally each put in two points, and Corey Richey added a free throw.
